Casablanca to Chefchaouen 4 Days Tour

Before leaving Casablanca, you will visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the most impressive religious monuments in the world. Built to commemorate King Hassan II's 60th birthday, this magnificent mosque overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. With its 210-meter-high minaret, the tallest in the world, it is the city's major landmark. Inside, you'll be amazed by the incredible Moroccan craftsmanship, hand-carved stone and wood, elaborate marble floors, gilded cedar ceilings, and stunning zellige (mosaic tilework). Multilingual guided tours are available outside prayer times, giving visitors an insightful experience into this marvel architecture.

Afterward, we will head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Rabat is home to important landmarks, including the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, as well as several historical tourist attractions. The major things to do while in town include exploring the Oudaias Kasbah, admiring the Hassan Tower, and visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

Next, we will continue our journey to Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Overnight stay at a riad or hotel in Fes.

After breakfast, you will meet our local guide in Fes for a full-day tour. Fes is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco, founded in 808 as the first political, religious, and cultural capital.

Our tour will begin at the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace. Afterward, we will head to a viewpoint where you can admire the impressive walls that surround the Old Medina (Fes El-Bali). Then, we'll continue on foot through the Medina, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and experience hundreds of feelings revolted of this historic area.

As we explore, you will visit mosques, madrassas, and various religious places before reaching the district of the Tanners. Please note that lunch during your walking tour is not included in the price (lunch will be at a typical Moroccan restaurant in the old Medina). We will then continue to the artisans' neighborhood, where skilled craftsmen preserve the knowledge and techniques they brought from Spain, and kept Andalusian art and style to this day.

In the evening, you will enjoy the rest sights on your own and spend the night at a hotel or riad.

Today, we will depart for Chefchaouen, one of the most famous towns in Morocco. We will stop in Meknes, the second imperial city of Morocco. Here, you'll enjoy a stroll in El Hedim Square, where local artisans, performers, and vendors create a lively atmosphere. Also, you'll visit the famous Bab El Mansour, one of Morocco's most iconic and grandiose gates, perfect for memorable photos.

Our trip will take us through vast agricultural fields, toward the Roman ruins of Volubilis. This ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases beautifully preserved mosaics, temples, and arches, offering a look into Morocco's Roman past.

Then continue through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, founded in 1471 as a small fortress by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa. The town was under Spanish occupation until Morocco gained independence in 1956. Today, Chefchaouen is famously known as the "Blue City" for its charming medina, where narrow streets and houses are painted in blue and white, creating a magical and tranquil atmosphere. Today, you'll have free time to stroll through the beautiful blue-washed alleys of Chefchaouen, explore local artisan shops, and enjoy the tranquil vibe of this unique town. Chefchaouen, known as the blue pearl of Morocco, this charming city nestled at the feet of the Rif Mountains, from which it derives its name "Chaouen", meaning "horns", due to the mountain's unique shape. Founded in 1471 as a small fortress by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa.

Once inside the medina, a must-do activity is to walk up to "Ras El Maa Waterfall", a famous water source sitting on the top of the mountain. From here, you'll be amazed by the panoramic views of Chefchaouen.

As you make your way to Ras El Maa, you'll pass by symbolic monuments and landmarks such as Place Outa El Hammam (the main square surrounded by cafés and restaurants, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere) and the Kasbah, a heavily restored 18th-century fortress that has lovely gardens. Afterward, we will drive to Casablanca, where this 4-day tour from Casablanca ends.
