11 Days Tour in Morocco from Agadir

Welcome to Morocco! Upon your arrival at Agadir airport, a member of our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Agadir. After settling in, we will begin a tour of Agadir city, exploring its stunning beach and corniches, vibrant souks, and the historic kasbah. Enjoy the charm of this coastal city before returning to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation, we will drive to Essaouira, a wonderfully relaxed coastal fishing town steeped in Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French heritage. Here, you can wander through the enchanting medina, visit the historical old port, walk along the harbor, and admire the Skala fortress with its wave-lashed ramparts and cannons. Stroll through serene squares, browse artisan shops and galleries, and observe the unique "Tuya" wood handicrafts or capture photos of the colorful fishing boats lining the shore.

Next, we will depart for Marrakech from Essaouira via a scenic inland road adorned with Argan tree forests, home to goats that climb these unusual trees, which only exist in this region of the world! We will stop at local Argan oil cooperatives along the way and enjoy several breaks to capture photos and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Overnight stay in Marrakech at a hotel/riad.

Today, after enjoying breakfast, our local guide will meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech. He will accompany you as you explore the famous city, known as the "Red City of Morocco". This city has served as an important stop for traders and travelers for many centuries and is considered the "southern pearl" of Morocco, as well as the "second oldest imperial city".

Our itinerary includes visiting the most significant historical and cultural sites, including the Saadian Tombs, the stunning Palaces of El Bahia and El Badi, the Ben Youssef Quranic School (Ben Youssef Madrasa), and the historic Koutoubia Mosque, which features a 77-meter-high minaret that dominates the center of Marrakech. As well as the Menara Gardens and Jardin Majorelle, which require a booking in advance via the official website (it's better to book the tickets one to two days before the visit date).

Next, you can head to Jamaa El-Fna, one of the city's main attractions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This famous square is a central cultural hub in Marrakech. You can relax at various cafés surrounding the square and enjoy the lively atmosphere, which is filled with magicians, storytellers, snake charmers, and street food vendors. Then continue to discover the colorful and diverse souks. We will spend the night in Marrakech.

Today, we travel from Marrakech to Rabat, stopping in Casablanca. Begin with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the second-largest mosque in Africa and the seventh-largest in the world. Afterward, continue to Rabat, the official administrative capital of Morocco, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Explore Rabat by walking through the Oudaya Kasbah, visiting the 12th-century Hassan Tower, and touring the Chellah Tomb, dating back to the Phoenician era. Overnight stay in Rabat at a hotel/riad.

After breakfast in Rabat, we drive north to experience a different Moroccan culture in Chefchaouen, the famous Blue Pearl nestled at the feet of the Rif Mountains by which the name Chaouen "Horns" has been adopted, because of the shape at the top of the mountains. Founded in 1471 as a small fortress, Chefchaouen is known for its blue-washed buildings and picturesque medina. Enjoy a leisurely walk through its charming streets and markets, perfect for capturing beautiful photographs and discovering unique native handicrafts. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen at a hotel/riad.

After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and drive through lush woodlands to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes. Visit the ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis, where you can admire the triumphal arch, mosaics, and vast artifacts. Next, continue to Meknes, an imperial city from the 17th century, where you will see historical sites such as Bab El-Mansour, Sahrij Swani, the lively El-Hedim square, and the Qara Prison. Enjoy lunch in Meknes before continuing to the medieval medina of Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad or hotel.

After breakfast, you will meet our local guide in Fes for a full-day tour. Fes is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco, founded in 808 as the first political, religious, and cultural capital.

Our tour will begin at the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace. Afterward, we will head to a viewpoint where you can admire the impressive walls that surround the Old Medina (Fes El-Bali). Then, we'll continue on foot through the Medina, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and experience hundreds of feelings revolted of this historic area.

As we explore, you will visit mosques, madrassas, and various religious places before reaching the district of the Tanners. Please note that lunch during your walking tour is not included in the price (lunch will be at a typical Moroccan restaurant in the old Medina). We will then continue to the artisans' neighborhood, where skilled craftsmen preserve the knowledge and techniques they brought from Spain, and kept Andalusian art and style to this day.

In the evening, you will enjoy the rest sights on your own and spend the night at a hotel or riad.

After breakfast in Fes, go on a journey toward the Sahara Desert. Begin with a visit to the cedar forests, home to the Barbary Apes, in a region nicknamed "Little Switzerland" for its alpine architecture and picturesque winter snow. Continue south to Midelt for a lunch break, as the scenery shifts from forests to mountains, palm groves, and gorges with a flowing river. In Erfoud, known for its rich mineral and fossil heritage, explore local museums and workshops.

As the landscape transitions to the desert, you will approach the village of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi). Upon arrival, enjoy a camel trek experience across the famous Erg Chebbi dunes, some reaching up to 500 feet above the desert floor. Watch a stunning sunset view over the dunes, then settle into your desert camp for a traditional dinner and an overnight stay under the stars.

After breakfast at the desert camp, begin the journey toward Dades Valley/Gorges. Your first stop will be Rissani, where you can explore its traditional market, the largest in Southern Morocco. Between Erfoud and Tinjdad, you have the opportunity to visit and go down into the fascinating underground water channels deep below the earth, always cool and preventing the evaporation of this source of irrigation.

Continue to Touroug and Tinjdad, with time for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, head to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for its 300-meter-high cliffs that narrow to just 20 meters at their most constricted point, a natural wonder recognized worldwide. After a short walk among the magnificent cliffs and enjoying the amazing views, drive on to the Dades Valley, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a riad or hotel.

Today, we depart the Dades Valley, having already enjoyed its best views, and travel along the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs, a spectacular drive winding through stunning desert landscapes, villages, palm groves, and the expansive Jebel Saghro lunar scape to the south. This mostly asphalted route offers an exhilarating driving experience with superb views of hundreds of kasbahs and unique monuments to Berber art.

We will then stop at Kalaat M'Gouna (the Valley of Roses), where you can explore and purchase rose products, especially during the annual rose festival in May. Next, visit the Amridil Kasbah in Skoura. Continue through Taznakht, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its appearances in Hollywood films), and Taliouine before reaching Agadir by evening. You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Agadir.

On this day, we will transfer you to the airport based on your flight schedule. This marks the end of our services for the 11 days tour from Agadir.
