Our Agafay Desert tour from Marrakech starts at about 8:00 AM with pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech (if accessible by car) or at our meeting point near the Jamma El Fna. About an hour's drive from Marrakech, you will reach the Agafay Desert, a unique rocky, hilly, and barren sandstone landscape at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains.
This destination is perfect for travelers who have limited time in Marrakech and are unable to travel to the sandy dunes (Erg Chebbi). A day trip from Marrakech to Agafay Desert allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and the unique beauty of Agafay.
Upon arrival in Agafay Desert, you will have the option to experience quad biking or buggy rides over the desert terrain. After your adventure on a Quad ATV, lunch will be provided in a tent or outdoors, overlooking the rolling hills and mountains.
After lunch, start a new adventure on a camel ride to explore the desert, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, and witness the amazing sunset view. Once you have enjoyed your time in the Agafay Desert, you will return safely to Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation. - Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hat.
- First-aid kit with lip balm, aspirin, band-aids, cream for sore muscles (e.g. deep heat), Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, any extra prescription drugs you may be taking.
