One of the most popular experiences in Morocco is discovering the Sahara Desert on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, spending one or two nights in a Berber tent under the stars, and enjoying a live performance of traditional Berber drum music by local musicians.
On this 2 nights Merzouga camel trek, you'll ride camels over golden sand dunes to watch a spectacular sunset and try sandboarding. Once you arrive at the desert camp, welcomed with a cup of mint tea before a delicious dinner. Afterward, gather around the campfire to enjoy Berber music and dance under the stars. The next morning, wake early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Erg Chebbi, as shifting shadows and colors play across the sea of sand. - Camel Trek - Sunset - Sandboarding - Night in desert camp

The first night of this 2 nights Merzouga camel trip begins in the evening, about two and a half hours before sunset. You will ride camels near the sand dunes to witness a marvelous sunset in the middle of the Sahara Desert. You will also have the chance to try sandboarding. Make sure to bring your camera because you'll want to capture lots of photos and videos of the stunning golden sand dunes and document your camel trek experience.
After sunset, you will ride camels to the desert camp where you will spend the night. Upon arrival, you can relax and enjoy a glass of traditional Moroccan mint tea. You'll then have free time to explore the nearby dunes on foot and take in the breathtaking desert scenery. Later, a delicious dinner will be served at the desert camp, followed by live Berber music played by local nomads around the campfire under the stars. If you enjoy dancing, you are welcome to dance to the rhythms of the traditional music before falling asleep under the starry desert sky. Overnight stay in the desert camp. Do not miss the one-of-a-kind desert sunrise the next morning.

After a peaceful night, you'll wake up early to enjoy an unforgettable sunrise over the beautifully shaped sand dunes. Afterwards, you'll return to the desert camp for a tasty breakfast and take a shower. Next, you'll begin your desert day tour by 4x4 vehicle with a professional guide. The journey starts with a visit to the nomads who still live in traditional Berber tents in the heart of the Sahara. You'll have the chance to see their way of life and share a cup of tea with them. After that, we will drive to the M'Fis mines to discover how locals work there.
Later, we'll visit the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnaoua people. You'll experience their unique music and way of life firsthand, and enjoy a traditional lunch with them. Afterward, we return to Merzouga/Erg Chebbi and prepare to head back to the desert camp for your second night under the stars. You will begin by meeting the camels at the camel parking area, then ride to the desert camp, stopping along the way to enjoy the sunset and try sandboarding. Enjoy the night, which will be more beautiful than the first.
The next morning, after enjoying an incredible sunrise, you will return to the camp for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Afterward, you'll ride the camels back to the departure point, where a staff member will meet you to drive you to your hotel or riad. This marks the end of our 2-night camel trek adventure in Morocco, finishing with your return to Merzouga village.

- First-aid kit with lip balm, aspirin, band-aids, cream for sore muscles (e.g. deep heat), Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, any extra prescription drugs you may be taking.
